Materials needed for this process
Soldering Iron
Soldering wire
Flux-when applied to wherever you are soldering it will melt while soldering if you are using it in a paste form
Solder sucker-just in case you mess up
Electronic device or surface- to practice on
To jump into soldering I recommend practicing on an electronic device you don't care if you break. This is because a soldering iron can easily burn the board of whatever you are working on. So the first step is to gather all the materials you plan on using and plug in the soldering iron and set it to a good temperature most boards would require a temp of around 300℃-350℃. Pretty much all soldering irons have a temp adjuster on the iron unless you have a fancy station that has a big box attached to it you can usually set it on the box if that is the case. (wait about 5 min for iron to heat up). Anything over these temps unless you know what you are doing will likely lead to damage on the board. Before using the soldering iron you should apply a little flux to the spots on the board where you plan on soldering. The reason for this is to prepare it for solder. One of the main things you will need to know how to do while soldering is to know how to make a solder ball. To do this hold the soldering iron in one hand and soldering wire in another have the tips of the soldering wire and the soldering iron make contact. You should observe the soldering wire melting off while this is happening. You have to make contact with the surface of what you are working on.
